Local rapper on the run taunts police in lyrics
5:00 PM on 07/08/2009
Christopher Trent of Jennings, Louisiana is a fugitive on the run. Since April of last year Trent has been evading officers who are looking for him for allegedly committing several sex crimes against young girls.
"We had several complaints from different parents about the subject having carnal knowledge of their daughters," explained Detective Jean Cooley.
Trent has been indicted on two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. He's accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl when he was 24 and a 13-year-old girl when he was 22.
Now Trent is bragging about his run on a compact disc that's being sold as far away as Baton Rouge.
Trent, who clearly identifies himself, raps about how police officers aren't able to catch him. He also mocks several police officers on the 18 track disc.
Detective Cooley is one of the officers Chris Trent calls by name.
"To me it's funny," Cooley said. "I think if you have time to make a CD and try to make fun of something that's not laughable then you have way too much time on your hands."
The Jennings Police Department, along with other area police agencies, are actively searching for Trent.
They say when they do catch him it will be time for Trent to finally face the music.
