Closing arguments set in rapper C-Murder's trial

GRETNA, La. (AP) --Attorneys are set to deliver closing arguments in the murder trial of Corey Miller, better known as the rapper "C-Murder." Miller is accused of shooting a 16-year-old fan during a brawl in a nightclub. He has been charged with second-degree murder. The 38-year-old Miller would face a mandatory life term if convicted of the Jan. 12, 2002, killing of Steve Thomas at the Platinum Club in Harvey. The club has since closed. Miller's first trial ended with a conviction on Sept. 30, 2003, but state District Judge Martha Sassone ruled that prosecutors had improperly withheld criminal background information about three key witnesses.
