California GOP gubernatorial candidate Steve Poizner uses Jones' name in TV attack ads as shorthand for "radical." But Jones returns this week to the Bay Area, where progressives will honor him Thursday, with a new direction: He has realized that his true calling is not in the White House but outside politics, where the best-selling author believes he can be more effective.
