What is the potential for political hip-hop?

True hip hop to me is being unafraid to speak one's mind. Hip-hop, to me, is speaking for a generation of people who don't have a platform to voice their beliefs or their grief.

Hip-hop, to me, has always been an opening for growth and posturing for the youth to become strong with a power that could possibly be insurmountable.

We've seen candidates of the hip-hop world move millions to vote. We know how powerful the movement is and yet we choose to succumb by saying nothing, when this generation, by far, needs to hear the truth!

If and when we all become united, hip-hop, as a movement, has the potential to be a major political force.

However, until everyone recognizes it, and makes a much needed change we will stand as scattered as the thoughts in a Top 10 hit on Today's so-called hip-hop radio.....
