The National Federation for Republican Women caused an uproar when they posted photos from a recent social event on their public Facebook page. The photos depict two Gullah performers dressed in antebellum costumes socializing and smiling alongside NFRW board members and VIPs, including invited guests Gov. Mark Sanford and State Sen. Glenn McConnell of South Carolina. Alan Wilson, GOP candidate for SC Attorney General was dancing the night away as well.
Check out State Sen. McConnell's response to theGrio's inquiries about the event.
