TheGrio talks to Chris Matthews about Obama's America
8:17 AM on 01/18/2010
With all the controversy surrounding race relations in politics, theGrio decided to get a political expert to weigh in on it all. Chris Matthews of Hardball sat down with theGrio's David Wilson and shared his take on President Obama's first year in office, Sen. Harry Reid's 'Negro' comment and the chances of Obama getting re-elected.
Matthews comments on the idea that other than Obama stepping in on the Henry Lois Gates incident, the president has not really "chosen to be ethnic." Wilson and Matthews also compare Bush's handling of Katrina to Obama's response to the crisis in Haiti.
