Rodney King is "getting along" with one of the jurors who helped award him a multi-million dollar settlement in his 1991 police beating trial against the city of Los Angeles.
"She is a godsend, a blessing in my life," King told RadarOnline.com.
King recently proposed to Cynthia Kelley who pushed to reward him $3.8 million dollars during his trial. King was the victim of an assault in the San Fernando Valley by four white police officers that was caught on tape. The assault sparked riots that left 55 dead and more than 2,000 injured.
"I don't know what I would have done without her in my life..." King says, "I can't wait to make her my wife!"
"Our first date was the next day after the trial when Rodney's lawyer and Rodney met me in a local pizzeria in Newport Beach," revealed Kelley, juror number 5.
"We hadn't spoken to each other for many years, and it just so happened that we reconnected," Kelley said. "It was like we were never apart from one another."
King told RadarOnline.com that the couple has yet to set a date for their nuptials.
