WATCH MUSEUM VISITORS REACT TO THE BUST
Michael Jackson fans around the world have immortalized the late King of Pop in many different ways. And it turns out the ancient Egyptians may have been way ahead of their time in paying tribute.
This limestone bust of an Egyptian woman is on display at Chicago's Field Museum.
It's getting some double, and triple takes, from visitors, for what appears to be an uncanny resemblance to the entertainer, especially around the eyes, and well, the nose.
"It's 1500 BC or so, not 2009 AD so we are talking about 3,500 years of difference between Michael Jackson and the individual but who knows where Michael Jackson got the idea for it," said museum curator James Phillips.
Phillips says as far as he knows Jackson never visited the museum, but admits the resemblance between the two is in his words "astonishing."
The bust has been on display at the museum since 1988.
