Caught on tape: Mother attacks school bus driver

The mother of a Charlotte, North Carolina student has been arrested, accused of attacking a bus driver on board her daughter's bus. Neighbors say the bus was headed home from Reedy Creek Elementary on Thursday, August 27th when Shani Edmond stormed the vehicle, irate over an issue with her daughter's stop. Children on board report that Edmond began pushing the driver. Witnesses say they saw punching, scratching, and hair pulling while the 33-year-old mom attacked the 57-year-old driver. "When we knew it was a real fight was when their glasses flew off the bus and everyone started screaming after that part," rider Rayne Mouzon said. "The bus started rocking back and forth, back and forth," one neighbor said. "This is crazy. You're beating up on an older lady. You should have seen the scratches on her neck." Edmond is charged with assault and battery and trespassing. The bus driver has not been charged. A substitute driver has taken over the route.
