More than two dozen members of the Jackson State University band have been suspended from school for two years after being found guilty of hazing.

University police say freshman members of the band were assaulted with bats, paddles and wooden beams.

One band member suffered a broken collar bone. Others were treated at a hospital but weren't admitted.

However, none of the members face criminal charges because none of the victims have pressed charges with the Jackson City Police.
