WATCH FAMILY AND FRIENDS REMEMBER LEIGH
Leigh Ashley Lampart of Weston, FL may have had a short life, but family and friends of the 10 year-old gathered to celebrate the huge impact she had on those who love her.
The Thanksgiving service included a special dedication from a young friend, Esteban Parra. He sang one of Leigh's favorite songs, Carrie Underwood's 'Jesus take the wheel', but was unable to finish.
Leigh, who lost her battle to a brain tumor, was remembered for her playful and sweet personality. She loved pink and animal prints and dreamed of being a fashion designer.
Even through her treatments, Leigh never stopped work in her school's production of 'Bugsy' last year. But when she returned to school after the summer, her condition had deteriorated.
Those who were touched by Leigh, say they will continue to be inspired by her love for life and vowed to live by one of the 10 year-old's quotes: "The most important things in life are love, happiness, fun and putting a smile on other people's faces."
