Just days after Whitney Houston’s death, two radio hosts in Los Angeles made crude remarks about her decades-long battle with drugs. On Tuesday, the hosts of The John and Ken Show, which airs on KFI AM 640, called Houston a “crack ho” during a live broadcast.

“At some point you’re just sick of it all, and so is everybody else in the industry; all her friends and hangers on; everybody who knew had to deal with her. It’s like ah Jesus… here comes the crack ho again, what’s she gonna do ah look at that she’s doin handstands next to the pool. Very good crack ho… after while everybody’s exhausted. And then you find out she’s dead. It’s like really; took this long,” one of the hosts said.

Many of Houston’s fans are outraged about the insensitive remarks made during the broadcast. In an interview with realdealtalk.com the former national program director for Syndication One and founder of US Talk Network, Lee Michaels, said, “this was an abuse of the airwaves. If I were the program director at that station they would have been pulled off the air immediately. Their comments were callous, indecent, unprofessional, and unnecessary.”

John Kobylt and Kenneth Chiampou who host the four hour radio show that airs weekdays in Southern California and are no stranger to on-air controversy. Their show was recently the subject of a Federal Election Commission complaint filed by the National Republican Congressional Committee. The complaint alleged that John and Ken engaged in an illegal campaign against GOP Congressmen David Dreier and Joe Baca. The “Political Human Sacrifice” campaign, as they dubbed it, was not successful, since both Dreier and Baca were re-elected. On March 16, 2006, the complaint was dismissed.
