African Children's Choir touring FL to raise money for their education (video)

Fort Pierce, FL - They have appeared on Ellen, American Idol and Jay Leno. The world renowned African Children's Choir is performing in Florida churches this summer to raise money to support their education. "We just get inspiration from it. It's a joy to have those kids around. Everybody who sees that will know more," says Minister Don McBrayer. The African Children's Choir is a big hit at the Midway Road Church in Ft. Pierce, just one of the many stops on their "Journey of Hope" tour. It's a fundraising mission for the young performers' continuing education. The church members get a spectacular performance. The kids get a place to stay, a good meal and donations. "We take offerings at each of our concerts and that is what supports our schools," says Sharve Commesse the program director. The choir's parent organization, Music for Life Institute, supports over 30 schools in Uganda and takes care of nearly seven thousand children in South Africa, all of them orphaned or abandoned. "Each individual is a success story in that they are influencing everyone around them," according to Commesse. Once this tour is complete, these children will return to their homeland, hopefully with the money they need. Meanwhile, they've left an experience that many could consider priceless.
