The 1936 Olympics is remembered for many things, but mostly, it's remembered for what some thought was a snub of American Jesse Owens by Hitler. Apparently that never happened, but what did happen and what is most remembered is Owens' gold medal performance.
In 1986, Jesse Owens was remembered for his victory in the Berlins Olympic Stadium. It is in that same stadium where a black American made a mockery of Nazi racism, won four gold medals and stole the Olympics from Adolf Hitler.
In an interview Jesse Owens discusses his gratitude toward his victory.
