CNBC's Shartia Brantley reports that the financial markets will be closed on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Key quarterly earnings reports will be released before then, as will important housing data. The last home sales report showed an increase of 9.4 percent, boosted by the first time homebuyer tax credit. The last home price index report, which tracks home prices in 20 metro areas, showed a decline of 11.2 percent, which was an improvement over the previous month.
